Painful

It looked like trouble when the mailman tried to leave it on my doorstep without a signature, and when I got the rubber bands off that were holding it together I was greeted to the worst condition package I've ever gotten in many years of R2 ordering. In addition to having the box carelessly ripped open and then shoddily resealed (which later came undone), the ero-game magazines and h-doujins were clearly looked through, bent, and had greasy fingerprints on them. There was water damage in one of the corners, a lot of dust inside the package, and to add insult to injury one of the doujins was missing. Drafting up an angry letter now, orgy updates Monday... #_#

Re- Re: Cutie Honey

Being weak against nice packaging, I rebought Re: Cutie Honey even though I already own the single DVDs and three artboxes. It wasn't as stellar as I was hoping, but it's a real space-saver and is overall a decent buy for a very entertaining show.

Sadly, the "artbook" included is a flimsy DVD insert-type booklet with old illustrations. The digipak is a two-tiered design, with the disc labels lining up to form an image with a bonus "perk" underneath.

It begins (again)

Back in March of 2004, I started a thread over at AoD in the R2 forum titled "R2 JPEG Orgy" to post pics of the cool stuff coming from Japan. It was a real eye-opener to see all the great goodies that never made it over here to the U.S. and I truly enjoyed the good times we had over the past year and a half. Pics, commentary, drooling, and good times can be found here, and I'll mix in new stuff with selected reposts for those who didn't make it into the threads.

I'll keep this blog updated at least through when I get married this coming July, I'm thinking the $2,000+ spending months are numbered. ^_~
